Observer physicians at Al Shifa Clinic

Al Shifa clinic has been providing training to observer physicians since 2002. Many foreign medical graduates from South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh), Middle East (Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Syria) and Africa (Somalia, Sudan and Nigeria) have spent 3-6 months as an observer physician attached to the licensed physician at Al Shifa clinic where they learnt to take history, perform physical examination under supervision of the physician and discuss diagnosis and differential diagnosis and treatment morality. They also gained experience in ordering and interpreting the laboratory work. Many of these physicians later on obtained residency training program in US.
