Iftar dinner IQRA
Dr. Basheer Ahmed, president, IQRA (Institute of Quranic studies and intrafaith Religious Acceptance) and the board of IQRA organized the first shia sunni iftar dinner in DFW area at Dera Grill restaurant, Dallas. This event was attended by Imams and community leaders of both shia and sunni sects. The event was covered by Dallas Morning News.

Dr. Basheer Ahmed attended a special iftar banquet at Dallas City Hall, Dallas, TX to meet and greet city of Dallas Mayor Honorable Mike Rawlings. The program was hosted by Mr. Amir Rupani, Akram Syed, Mr. Mandavia and Mr. Suleman.
